2/28/2011 David part1

David:I think God wants me to learn more about David because every time I open the Bible in the last few days it says something about David. Last weekend I went to a church retreat. It was amazing. The speaker was excellent and he really new his Bible, he was passionate about it too. I spoke about when David was chosen to be king and when he killed Goliath, when he "bought" his bride, when he built the temple of God, about David and Bathsheba, and about his relationships with his sons and the people around him. It was stupendous.

David was not a pansy. In Tanzania, the boys, at six years old, must be able to kill a lion, and if not they can never ever live as a man. The animal populations were even greater back in David's day so he probably saw and killed multiple wild beasts. When he ran to the battle sight, it was 15 miles, with thirty pounds strapped to his back. I cant run a mile without huffing and puffing. He was muscular. He was handsome, even Goliath said so...He played the harp-the equivalent of the electric guitar in our society. He is successful in battles-like the football of today....(but more intense.) So today he would be an athletic, sensitive, christian, guitar playing, quarterback, who also can sing. THINK: All of the girls were probably all over him, I know today they would be... Oh, and did I mention he was the KING over all of Israel... yeah... He just made The Rock look wimpy...

My Prayer

Lord,
Make me strong like Samson
Give me the liability of Samuel
Give me the endurance of Job
Let me have the faith of David
Help me have the prayer life of Daniel
I want to know you like you knew Moses
Give me the people skills of Paul
Let me trust like Abraham
and lastly Lord,

let me love like You, for you are much greater than any man that ever lived. . . You gave them their power, and You guided them. And Lord, please guide me.

Let our hearts be aligned, what make you cry, make me weep. What makes you smile, let me jump and dance of Joy. what makes you angered, let me be appalled and enraged. Let your emotions be amplified in me Father. Let Your children see me as a daughter of the King. I love you Lord, Thank You.
