Resilient

Resilient: The ability to thrive when life becomes most difficult and the ability to withstand shock without permanent deformation.

Are we resilient? We can be resilient against God, but with him! Against what HE is against and stand firm in it. Daniel was resilient when he was forced to move to Babylon and was basically enslaved and could not do anything about it but stay true to his God and live right. We can tell Daniel was a righteous man because he lives what it says in Colossians 3:23, "In whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, not for men." And Daniel carried this out, before it was even written. What does that tell us? Daniel put God first, this new country God placed him in second, and his well-being third. That is what makes Daniel so resilient. He puts God first in whatever he did. He fasted-for God, to show his country, which led him to semi-suffer by restraining himself by only eating certain vegetables.

I personally think we can learn a lot from Daniel. I never really thought much of Daniel before, but now I am putting some more thought behind it.

pause

Ok. So as most people know around the US there has been a LOT of snow, ice, and other winter weather. Well living in the southeast, where we know nothing of winter weather, school has been closed now for 4 consecutive days counting 2moro. With the time off, I have been thinking God always has a purpose for something, what if it was that I have been going going going and haven't really had tome for Him? I can't put God at the bottom of my to-do list! He has to be first, next to everything else, and the last. God is never ending so we must begin with Him, have Him constantly throughout the day, and end with Him. So I have to wonder, did God send us this almost-week out of school so we could consentrate more on Him? Now idk but i know of many people who say if this changes 1 person it's a success. And I think that God may have the same ideas. That if one persons life is changed then it wasn't a lost cause. The story of the lost coin, the lost sheep, and the prodigals son show this. God Bless
